Where the Spacetalk Adventurer 2 does work

Optus Works

How we worked it out

2G calls: ALDI Mobile has no 2G network.
4G bands: Shares 4G bands with ALDI Mobile: B1, B3, B7, B8, B28.
4G calling: ALDI Mobile only enables 4G calling on approved phones, and we haven't confirmed this one.

Reports for Telstra

ALDI Mobile runs on Telstra's masts but keeps its own list of phones it enables 4G calling on, so a report for Telstra doesn't confirm a phone on ALDI Mobile. A problem on Telstra does count against it.

Maker: 'Locked to Spacetalk Mobile - Telstra wholesale network'. Works on Telstra's network only through Spacetalk Mobile's own SIM and plan, not a Telstra SIM. Source

ALDI Mobile runs on Telstra's network, so it uses Telstra's masts and bands.

About 2G: Telstra switched off 2G on 1 December 2016 and 3G on 28 October 2024.

About 4G calling: ALDI Mobile blocks phones without 4G calling and points to Telstra's blocked-phone checker.
