Does the HMD 2660 Flip 4G work on Asda Mobile?
Works (on 2G)
Calls and texts work on Asda Mobile using 2G. They'll stop working when 2G is switched off unless 4G calling gets enabled.
How we worked it out
- 2G calls: The phone supports 2G and Asda Mobile's 2G network is still on (Asda Mobile uses Vodafone's network).
- 4G bands: Shares 4G bands with Asda Mobile: B1, B3, B7, B8, B20, B28.
- 4G calling: We haven't confirmed whether Asda Mobile enables 4G calling on this phone.
Reports for this network
- Vodafone's device guide for the HMD 2660 Flip (the USB-C version) says 4G calling (VoLTE) is not supported, so calls use Vodafone's 2G network until it's switched off. A how-to page in the same guide describes turning VoLTE on. Source
Asda Mobile runs on Vodafone's network, so it uses Vodafone's masts and bands.
About 2G: Vodafone plans to switch off 2G in spring 2030. Until then, phones without 4G calling use 2G for calls.
About 4G calling: Vodafone offers an IMEI checker. Reports conflict on whether phones bought elsewhere get 4G calling.
