Mobile hotspots and travel routers
Keep a plain phone in your pocket and give your laptop or tablet the internet when you need it. A hotspot takes its own SIM and shares mobile data over Wi-Fi. We check each one's 4G bands against every network in the UK.

What the band check means
Networks send 4G over several frequency bands, and a hotspot can only use the bands it was built for. "All its 4G bands" means the hotspot can use every band the network runs. "Some of its 4G bands" means it will connect, but where the network only has the bands it lacks, the signal will be weaker or missing. The bands come from the maker's spec page for the model sold in the UK, and the network's own or published band list.
