About 2G: Bell never ran a 2G GSM network: its older network was CDMA, shut down by April 2018. Bell says phones not certified for 4G calling on Bell lose calls when 3G closes.

About 4G calling: Lucky Mobile says phones it hasn't certified for 4G calling, including ones bought outside Canada, are affected by the 3G closure.
