How we worked it out

2G calls: Virgin Plus has no 2G network.
4G bands: Shares 4G bands with Virgin Plus: B2, B4, B5, B7, B12, B17.
4G calling: Virgin Plus only enables 4G calling on approved phones, and we haven't confirmed this one.

Virgin Plus runs on Bell's network, so it uses Bell's masts and bands.

About 2G: Bell never ran a 2G GSM network: its older network was CDMA, shut down by April 2018. Bell says phones not certified for 4G calling on Bell lose calls when 3G closes.

About 4G calling: Virgin Plus keeps its own list of phones certified for 4G calling.
