How we worked it out

2G calls: Koodo has no 2G network.
4G bands: Shares 4G bands with Koodo: B2, B4, B5, B7, B12, B17.
4G calling: We haven't confirmed whether Koodo enables 4G calling on this phone.

Koodo runs on Telus's network, so it uses Telus's masts and bands.

About 2G: Telus never ran a 2G GSM network: its older network was CDMA, shut down in 2017. Telus says that after 3G closes on 1 March 2027, every phone needs 4G calling to make calls.

About 4G calling: Koodo says phones sold by Koodo or Telus since 2018 and most sold in Canada work with 4G calling, and lists supported models (some only by IMEI range) for other phones.
