Sony BRAVIA 2 II (Google TV)
A mainstream Google TV that Sony and Google say can be run as a basic TV with no Google account and no internet.
Smart, works offline
Exactly what the sources say: Sony states "You can use basic TV functions without a Google account" on its Google TVs (Android 14: "you cannot use internet-based features or most network services without signing in"). Google states that choosing "Set up basic TV" lets you "Use your device without an Internet connection" and "without a Google Account", limited to the tuner, HDMI inputs and a few pre-installed apps; basic TV must be chosen at first setup (switching later needs a factory reset), and offline the TV gets no security updates. Sony's retail disclosure (JB Hi-Fi) says the user "must accept Google Terms of Service ... to use TV". Viewing-data behaviour when connected was not checked. 75-inch is listed at Currys.ie only.
