Does the JioBharat V4 work on Jio?

Works

Calls and texts should work on Jio, including over 4G.

Last checked 25 October 2026.

How we worked it out

2G calls: Jio has no 2G network.
4G bands: Shares 4G bands with Jio: B3, B5, B40.
4G calling: Reported working on Jio.

Reports for this network

Jio sells the JioBharat V4 for calls on its network, which has no 2G: calls go over 4G. Source

About 2G: Jio has never run 2G or 3G: calls only work over 4G calling (VoLTE), so 2G-only keypad phones can't make calls on Jio.

About 4G calling: Jio tells customers to switch VoLTE on but publishes no list of phones it supports. Its own JioBharat and JioPhone handsets are locked to Jio.
