Calls and texts work on An Post Mobile using 2G. They'll stop working when 2G is switched off unless 4G calling gets enabled.

An Post Mobile runs on Vodafone's network, so it uses Vodafone's masts and bands.

About 2G: Vodafone has no plan to switch off 2G, which carries its core voice coverage. Its 3G network closed in October 2024.

About 4G calling: Vodafone lists phones that support 4G Calling when bought from Vodafone, and says phones bought elsewhere might not.
