How we worked it out

2G calls: Exetel has no 2G network.
4G bands: Shares 4G bands with Exetel: B1, B3, B7, B8, B28.
4G calling: Exetel only enables 4G calling on approved phones, and we haven't confirmed this one.

Exetel runs on Telstra's network, so it uses Telstra's masts and bands.

About 2G: Telstra switched off 2G on 1 December 2016 and 3G on 28 October 2024.

About 4G calling: Telstra only promises 4G calling on the listed phones bought from Telstra since 2019; for a phone bought elsewhere you need Telstra's help to see if it can be turned on. Phones need 4G band 28.
